Question about Food Counter

Hi everyone.  I am prepping for my surgery at the end of the month and had a question.  What is everyone using for their food counter to check proteins, etc.  Any paticular book, computer or phone application, etc.?  I am looking to see what options are available, what everyone recommends, pros and cons.

Thanks!

Dawn

Hi Neighbor! I actually live in East Berlin, so we are really close.

Anyways, I use www.thedailyplate.com for online tracking. I think there is an iPhone application. But I don't have one so maybe someone will be able to chime in on that one.

Good luck!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

I second dailyplate.com.  I really like it.  In fact, I look forward to logging my food so that I can see exactly what I have had for the day as far as protein, calories, sodium, etc.

Hi Dawn, and welcome!

I used to use thedailyplate (www.livestrong.com/dailyplate) but have moved over to SparkPeople (www.sparkpeople.com) and like it a lot better in some ways.  In particular, I love the recipe calculator, which lets me input a recipe and specify the number of servings, and then will calculate the complete nutrition label for the recipe.  Very nice.

Enjoy!
