Another Before Pic

Wow...what a way to really understand.  I was going through photos this am for my mom and I came across this one.

I was a little peeved this morning because the scale was up around 135 as opposed to the 130 I normally hang around.

This put it into prespective.  According to the date stamp, it was taken just over a year prior to surgery.

I remember being fluffy.  I remember being a size 24.  I can honestly tell you I DON'T remember looking like this.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

You've done such an amazing job!!! I think many of us didn't see ourselves the way others saw us. I know I didn't---I was sometime shocked when I looked in the mirros or looked at a photo of me. You continue to be a real inspiration for many of us. Thanks for sharing the photo!

All I can say is WOW.  You literally look like a totally different person, except that you both have an awesome smile!  Congratulations!

Amazing transformation.  I never liked having my picture taken and I still shy away from it.  Deidre said we should get a family portrait taken because we are all going to a wedding in two weeks and it will probably be ages before we get that chance again.  I shuttered.  I think I will always be a fat chick inside and I do prefer that.  It keeps you humble and I think the best personality traits I have are from being overweight.  I didnt judge others.  I was extremely caring about others.

As for your weight teetering.  It's going to.  Different things will effect it..    Your time of the month.. water retention and other factors.  I think the most imporant thing to focus on is that you are in a healthy weight range and that is all that matters!

You are an inspiration and a good friend to all of us!
