Hi to all my OH PA Pilgrimage pals.  I haven't posted on here in a long loooooooooong time.  I had attended the PA pilgrimages back in 2006 and met a few of the long term posters here.  I lost a total of 130 lbs and gained 10 lbs back when I went into OTR truck driving with my fiance who is now my husband as of August 28, 2009.    We moved to Springfield, MO in November 2008 because of the economy and my company downsizing (it was either transfer to a location that is gaining freight or be terminated).  I chose to transfer to maintain a job.  Missouri is ok, but we love PA so much better.  We will definately be back in PA by hopefully the end of Feb. 2010 because of our new additions and all our friends and family are in PA.  We have no support in Missouri.  It's just Chris and I.

This past April we found out we were pregnant and pregnant with twins.  We never thought we would ever be able to get pregnant even after having the RNY we waited our year  like we're supposed to and tried and tried.  Next step was IVF and we didn't want to go that route and said if it wasn't meant to be naturally, then it just wasn't meant to be.  But, God did have other plans for us and granted us a pregnancy 3 years after RNY.   This has been a very difficult pregnancy for Chris and I because we found out at our first ultrasound (9weeks) that shed didn't see a membrane separating the twins, so i had to go to a maternal fetal specialist for an ultrasound and be followed by him too.  So at 11 weeks we confirmed that the babies were in fact in the same sac and had only 1 membrane and 1 placenta.  They shared everything except for their own cords.  We had a Mo-Mo pregnancy (monochorionic and monoamniotic) which happens in 1 in 35,000 to 1 in 65,000 pregnancies.  We had a 50/50 chance of losing the babies because of cord entanglement or twin to twin transfusion syndrome.  We were told that there was nothing they can do intervention wise until 26 weeks.  So we walked on eggshells and took life one day at a time and lived from ultrasound to ultrasound appt (every 4 weeks) to make sure the babies were ok.  Talk about a stressful time.  Anyways we made it to 26 weeks and was then admitted into the hospital for every 8 hour monitoring of the babies for at least 20 mins (usually ended up to be an hour to 3 hours if they were good).  I only had a week and half of the 8 hour monitoring when i went to my new permanent home in labor and delivery for continuous monitoring pretty much 23 hours a day.  I could only get up to go to the bathroom or take a 20 min or less shower a day.  Gotta love bedrest, NOT!  We had a 3 close calls where we almost went for our c-section at 26 weeks,  28 1/2 weeks and 31 weeks.   Our goal was to make it to 34 weeks Nov. 5 where they would take the babies regardless because of the complications of leaving them in any longer would be cord compression.  Well, we thought were were almost there had only 9 more days to go and our little 'miss chaos' acted up really bad on day 32 weeks and 5 days.  We almost had an emergent c-section but the baby straightened up some so that my husband could be there for the birth.  As we were leaving to go she acted up and got things moving a bit quicker than normal, but Chris did get to attend the births and i got a spinal instead of general anesthesia.    Anyways, please help me in praying and well wishing for our girls, who will be in NICU for a few weeks til maybe Dec. 17 their original 40 week birthday.  And here are a few pics to enjoy.  I have a picture i'll show you of their nicely twisted cords that made this a difficult and rare pregnancy.

Zoe Olivia was born 10/27/2009 at 2:33pm CST and weighed 3 lbs 15oz, 16 ½ inches long. Mira Nevaeh born 2:33pm CST weighed 3lbs 7oz , 16 inches long.

We met at that Pilgrimage in 2006...i was only a few weeks out from surgery at the time.  Congratulations on both the wedding and the babies!!!  They are beautiful.  We certainly are having an explosion of baby girls being born around here....I think 5 recently and at least two more girls on the way (plus a boy in there too).  I think I am going to buy stock in pampers ! LOL

Thanks for sharing the update and the pictures...its good to hear from you!!
