I copied both of these recipes off the board.
WLS Friendly apple crisp
Slice up a bunch of apples...I don't measure...probably about 6 or 8 of em for a large (9 x 11) baking dish. Toss with a combination of splenda, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Place in pan. Dot with butter if desired
In the meantime, use 4 or more packets of "lower sugar" maple and brown sugar oatmeal with either 1/2 stick of butter, or some butter and some oil to make a crumble topping (You can add some chopped nuts to this too, for extra crunch). Sprinkle on top of apples. (I sometimes add cinnamon to this, too)
Bake at a high temp (about 400ish****il topping is golden brown and apples are soft and bubbling. Serve w/ sf whipped cream, NSA ice cream, or just enjoy!
(I just made this apple crisp again tonight. We love it! Thanks for posting the recipe, Pam!)
Pumpkin Fluff
1/2c skim milk
2 Scoops vanilla protein
1 box sf/ff vanilla pudding mix
1-15oz can pumpkin
cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice as desired
1 container of ff cool whipUse mixer to combine first 5 ingredients so pudding and protein don't clump. Fold in cool whip and let chill.
My "Broiled Pecan Peaches" recipe can easily be made with apples (or pears, or nectarines) for a nice apple crisp. The recipe is:

If you don't like diabetisweet, sub an equal amoun of granulated splenda...
I may make it with some oatmeal tossed into the pecan mixture, too...

Christine,
While you got some recipes from people on here, there are tons of recipes on Sparkpeople.com, while they are not necessarily geared towards Bariatric weightloss, they can be adapted to our needs with some tweaking and many times, people will state that they tried the recipe doing it with splenda, etc. and how good it was, so it's another site to get lots of recipes, especially going into this winter/holiday season when we want to be able to participate/bring something we know we can have, etc.
Take care, Laureen
