Monday Roll Call
Your boy with the astham should definately be checked by a doctor. Keep up with tylenol and motrin - motrin every 6 hours tylenol every 4. Try to give the motrin before bed as it lasts longer. The more you can do with keeping him away from his sister, using different towels, glasses, and making sure he is continually washing his hands the better.
As for the 22 mos old - definately keep an eye on her.
As far as h1n1 is concerned...it's really no different than the regular flu. It's a flu "A" type of virus. Ironic thing is, if h1n1 had reared its ugly head in Jan instead of April, it would have automatically been in the "regular" flu shot. The flu shot is nothing more than a "guess" as to what flu strains will be around this year and a combination of those pieces put together.
And yes, the weight gain is probably in relation to your period. I easily gain 7-10 pounds literally over night around that time.
Deep breath - you and your family will be ok!

Morning everyone!
Posting from work today because this morning was a busy day. We took our little puppy Bentley to the vent today to be neutered. I of course was nervous, but we just started with a new vet and everyone seems so nice and friendly. I'm willing to pay extra just to make my stomach sit better during the day!
Saw the scale move quite a bit this morning - so that was exciting. Had a great weekend and I plan to enjoy the last of our good weather by walking over my lunch hour today. Only 2 meetings at work today and then the rest is catch up - which is MUCH needed.
Home for a quick dinner and then back to the vet to pick up our little guy and give him all the love and attention one puppy can handle.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning. I had a successful weekend. Kept drinking my water and ate MOSTLY on plan. Had a couple of food slips and didn't pick up the phone like I should have. My man is home all week, so that should help with my lonliness issues, and since he's cooking dinner, that means less before dinner temptation for me. I could use a week with less temptation! Just for today I will not eat sugar. I will eat according to my plan.
Blessings, Jill

Interesting posts this morning on getting your first period LOL
I am at work and still in pain. I have been resisting taking the vicodin. Will be seeing the chiropractor 3 x this week. I am kind of worried.
Still no movement on the car and insurance etc. Jason did buy a car on sat so that is good.
Being a one car household is not easy when i work in harrisburg and he is in lancaster.
Many things on my mind, many people on my mind. Please have a good and safe day

Nicole,
If you still have your gallbladder, make sure they're checking that as a possible source for your pain. I had a car accident a bunch of years ago, and had severe back pain that would not resolve no matter what they did... finally my chiro did reflexology on my feet and sent me back to my family doc with a request that they ultrasound my gallbladder. Voila - the impact had dislodged a gallstone and it was partially blocking my bile duct. I was in surgery the next day, and totally relieved! But gallbladder problems don't "usually" manifest that way, so they weren't thinking along those lines and it took them WAY too long to figure it out.
Hope yours gets figured out and resolved SOON!

Good Morning Linda, PA. . .
It seems it's almost afternoon, but my day started with pain in my left hip and I MEAN PAIN with all caps and add to that an ocular migraine, not a great way to start the workweek. . . I managed to get in only 10 minutes late though, thankfully the ocular migraines generally last only 45 minutes, in case you've never had one, it is severe pain accompanied by flashing lights, not being able to see very clearly, but as I said, generally over within the hour. My hip feels a little better since taking some Tylenol, but still aching. I think maturity has it's pitfalls. . .
Anyway, I am here at work, just wanted to stop in and check up on you all. . .
As for young ladies and their cycles, my granddaughter had her first one last February and she was a month short of her 11th birthday, my Mom bought me a Kotex kit when I was about 10 and it came with all the stuff necessary, as well as books on what to expect and so forth, back in those days, you wore a belt that was supposed to hold things in place, I got my 1st one between my 10th and 11th birthdays. . . all gone now, courtesy of a hysterectomy 4 years ago and I don't miss anything about it, another one of those surgeries I did not want to have when first suggested and then sorry I put it off so long. . .
Well I sure hope you all have a wonderful day, and whatever challenges life throughs your way today, I wish you strength to get through it.
Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
