Good morning everyone.. Today I am staying home as I found out last night my Grand Neice most likely has the H1N1 flu and I was over to see her yesterday.
She is doing ok but, if you could say a prayer for our family that she gets over it quickly and no one else gets sick.
Pam I can so relate. It is so easy to text things I would never say out loud and it is even easier for others to take things they  read in texts/emails even in a worse light then they were intended.  I am sure things will be ok. You and hubby are both stressed out and hopefully can let this pass as I know the stress will.
HOpe everyone has a wonderful weekend in NY. The WLS center just called to remind me of my phone consult on Weds. so now the prospect of insurance approval doesn't seem so far away.
Have a blessed day.

Well, today is day 3 home with a sick child. At least today my daughter went to school so it's only my sick son. Of course this all happens when my husband is out of the country. It's only me taking care of them so I had to use the rest of my days off. That is what being a mother is all about. I am seriously trying to go to happy hours with a friend just to get away. My oldest will watch them for me so I really hope that happens but you can't count on 19 year olds so we'll see.

I just have to stay out of the kitchen. I've been snacking way too much these last few days. Old habit die hard. I'm stressed and miss my hubby so much.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Pam,

Sorry to hear about the hubby drama and stress... I know first-hand how totally NOT FUN that type of crap is.  My hubby's bipolar and is not dealing well with the stress of being out of work ... last night was a "blowout" for him and it wasn't fun dealing with.  Top that off with you having such a stressful work environment and, as you say, having to pretend nothing is wrong with your patients and that triples the stress levels.  HUGS, girl!

Whatever this is that I have seems to be developing slowly... but annoyingly.  Throat's all scratchy, nose is increasingly runny, and now I have a cough.  Of course, I have workshops all weekend.  oh joy.

Today is an errand day.   Will be busy - I'm hoping I can get most everything done before the rain****  It would be truly lovely to be cuddled up in my house with a blankie and cat  and cup of tea when the rain comes.

Have a safe day, folks!  Watch out for wet leaves!

Happy Friday Pam, PA!

Sorry you had so much stress yesterday, hopefully, today will be better!  What I've learned about texting and e-mail messaging when I'm not in the best of places in myself, is to draft it, check out what I've written and only hit the send button when I'm sure it's what I want to say.  But with age and lots of mistakes behind me, I've gotten a bit of that wisdom that speak of (lol)!!!

Anyway, today almost feels like a vacation day. . .  I work for three people and they are all out of the office today!!! woo hoo!  I finished my work by 9:30, all I had was some filing to do ;)  So today I can do some personal stuff while here .

After work, I am going home, straightening up, changing my bed linens and waiting for my guy to get to my house, as we are spending the weekend together.  Not sure what is on the agenda, though I may make a pot of sauce for him to enjoy on Sunday.  Well those are my non-plans for the weekend.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, even if rain is in the forecast!

Wishing you peace and strength to face whatever life brings your way, Laureen

Here I am bringing up the rear again - had to go by the docs this morning for my flu shot and as I walked in the door at work (10:00!) my phone was ringing and it was my daughter - she's having some drama in her life right now so once I had my coffee and breakfast (pouchie was NOT happy at not being fed at regular time today) I called her back and tried to offer some motherly advice. Whether or not she takes it remains to be seen...

Pam - hope you guys got things worked out - I'm sure you did. Love the CF - they do have a sugar-free version of their cheesecake that is very good - save room!

I'm at work for the rest of the day - gonna be a quiet afternoon - only 3 of us here. I wanted to bring my MP3 in today to download some songs I downloaded from Napster the other day - I finally learned how to do that and loved it! Now I don't have to buy a whole stinking CD for one song I want. Still have some kinks to work out on it but I'm getting there.

Looks like a soggy weekend ahead - the leaves were coming off the trees like snow this morning coming thru Ridley Creek park - sadly most of the prettier ones will be off the trees by the end of the weekend. Careful out there on those wet leaves!
