Thanks from Hailey

I just wanted to thank all of you for the amazing donation we received on Sunday via Shauna, HG, Dennis, and Beth. We are humbled and overwhelmed by your generosity! The money will go a long way in helping me get back and forth from the hospital with tolls and parking, not to mention the at least two meals a day I have here! Can I tell you how tired I am of hospital food?? LOL

So it's been 44 very long days since Hailey made her dramatic entrance into the world. She had her surgery on Monday. She's doing a lot better than me!! I've been a wreck and am still trying to deal with my baby having a tube in her belly, but Hailey is doing great. She had a slight fever last night but it's fine today. She seems very comfortable and has not even needed any pain meds since early yesterday morning. She is definitely a fighter!! They just started her on 5 ccs an hour of pedialite at noon. They'll give this to her continuously for today to make sure her stomach and bowels are working properly. By tomorrow, they may start giving her some breastmilk.

So thanks again from Hailey, Russ and I. We truly appreciate the donation, which will be a huge help, and for the thoughts and prayers. You are a truly wonderful group of people and I'm blessed to have you in my life!

sounds like Hailey is doing great.  You are a strong family to be going through all of this.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers on a regular basis.  Stay strong and know that we are all here for you.
