Well Its a little over 6 weeks since my surgery and this evening I got my first foamies.  ICK.  Not sure if it was the meat, the collard greens or a combination.  However,  I can say ... "blah".  tummy is not happy.  The meat was VERY moist  and I was  pretty sure I chewed things up but apparently... I was mistaken.  LOL.

Just thought I'd wine a little here since people here understand.

ugh - they do suck, plain and simple!! Try some hot peppermint tea or any kind of tea - that helps me. Also eat light your next meal or 2 - pouchie is going to be aggrevated.

Feel better!

I am right there with you tonight. I've been rubbing tummy, walking, throwing up, have the foamies since dinner tonight. It's been 3 hrs since I've eaten and I'm still in pain, throwing up, and having foamies.

I tried to get peppermint tea in, but it would not go down and what little bit did, came right back up.

All Gene could say to me was "welcome to my world", at least he made me laugh even if I'm miserable, in pain, and just want to lay down but everytime I do I have to get up and run to the bathroom to throw up.

ugh... I hope it did not last much longer after you sent this post!!!.  Mine only lasted about 1 hour so I guess I was lucky!!!  But boy when food decides to stick... It SUCKS.

going to follow Liz's advice of smooth or 'gentle' foods today.  :-)

I hope you are feeling better today.

For me it lasted well beyond midnight. It hurt to lay down, sit up, stand up, walk, no matter what I tried it hurt.
Today my pouch is still not feeling well, I had a sip of water and it started to feel weird. Today like you I'm taking it one step further than Liz's suggestion of smooth/gentle foods, I'm just using all liquids today.

Thanks for the suggestions on how to move past that lovely item.  Peppermint is also ... yummy.

Ah Foamies - yes they are miserable but the good thing is they eventually go away - for me laying down is about the best I can do, and then really baby that pouch for a day or so because its very tender and prissy.

Hope you're feeling better!
