How to make pictures smaller

Hi Everybody!

I've been trying to make pictures smaller to post to my profile. The bottom line is that I can't figure it out. If anybody can help me, I would gratefully appreciate it.

Avatarmagic.com works. Upload your photo there, resize it, save it to your hard drive and then upload the resized photo into your profile page.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

I DID IT! THANK YOU BOTH FOR YOUR GREAT SUGGESTIONS. IT TOOK A FEW TRIES TO CREATE THE AVATAR, BUT IT FINALLY WORKED!
