***Frigid Friday Roll Call***
Good morning!
Well we had an AWESOME night at work tonight....the question is will "lightening strike twice" as we call it?
It's 5:00 right now...I am waiting for our new boss to come in. She's been here for the past 6 weeks or so, but I have not met her because she generally works 9a and obviously when I am here...I leave by 7. Apparantly, though, she is making great strides to meet with all the staff and "get to know everyone" and seems to be very interested in things (which is a nice change of pace, I might add) and told the 3-11 charge RN to pass along the message that she will be in by 6am specifically to meet me. Interesting.
After that I need to meet with the coordinator of the department and talk about my upcoming schedule and especially tonight. They may need me to come in early again...we'll see.
And finally after that, at about 7:30 I need to meet with a doctor in the department regarding my brothers visit here a few weeks back.
After all that is said and done....I'm headed back to the parents house to chill for a bit before bed. Either way, in early or not, I'll be up at a "decent hour" because dad is making a yummy dinner and I'll get up for that.
And then it's work...either 7p or 11p depending on how my meeting goes. Unfortunately tonight we are under staffed...and I'm in charge. I HATE being in charge. Really really really HATE it. But such is life I guess :)
Stay warm and dry...it's pretty yucky out over here!

Feeling like crap. BP is sky high this morning. I hope a nose bleed doesn't manifest, that's never pretty since I have Hemoglobinopathy and half bleed to death if I even nick my leg shaving!
At wor****il 3:30 then straight to grocery store since I went shopping last night instead of getting food.......Priorities! LOL
Then home to put it all away and make McCoy & Sawyers favorite casserole for dinner. Then just hanging with kiddos.....I hope. My oldest will probably want to spend most of the evening on thier computers and as long as they come home with no bad test grades and do thier homework, I will let them.

Hi everyone -
Hope you all are staying warm and dry. It is so gross out. Fortunately, I come into work way before the traffic gets out of control. A little rain and people go nuts on the road.
Today is Boss's day. My co-workers planned breakfast for our boss without realizing that he is out of the office until late morning for a meeting....oops. The food will probably be grubbed down before he ever sees it...haha It's the thought that counts right??
I'm going to try and skedaddle out of here a little early today. Maybe around 3:00. I've been putting in a lot of extra time on a project that was handed down to me this week. I've been in early and have worked during lunch on a couple of days.
This weekend is going to be pretty low key for me. I work at the Doc's tomorrow morning and then I will spend time packing and taking things to the storage facility that I rented. And I'll also be trying to get rid of more junk. Amazing what gets accumulated when you start trying to pack it all up. My lease is up at the end of December and my boyfriend really wants me to have almost everything moved either to the storage place or his place by the beginning of December. Then we just have to move the big stuff out and clean. Easy peasy right?? Haha...we'll see about that.

(Pam---your apple crisp was a huge hit the other night. I have to get oatmeal so I can make it again!) I think maybe a nap is in order this afternoon. TGIF! Even if it is rainy and raw outside, after 5 the weekend begins! I really do not like this weather and driving in it, but I just need to take it slow. Have an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation at 5:30, a woman's AA meeting and home. . .

Today is MSEA day for the teachers in the state of Maryland... so I am off. Not going to Ocean City for the convention - I never have. I actaully slept in until 7:04! Coffee is brewing and going to get ready to go to the gym. That's about it.

Good morning everyone and PA its so mean looking out here and I for one am tempted to go back to bed and pull the covers over my head but the voices in my head tell me not to. I guess its back to the drawing board I went to take an online test for a job and somehow botched it up so I am waiting til 9 to call the support line and have them start me up again. I hear the weekend brings the same weather which means Cassidy and Tiki get the weekend off being stall ornaments. And I am sure the brave people will be in the malls trying to conquere cabin fever and re-doing their homes or wardrobes. Everybody have a great day despite the miserable weather.
