Wednesday Roll Call

Wow my first roll call beginning!  Good morning PA and everyone.  Couldn't sleep anymore and when I woke up all three dogs gave me the "we wanna go out"  look.  I had Jasper my golden at the vet and I hadn't seen Jon my vet in a while so when he saw me he said okay where is Linda and what have you done with her?  Told me how great I looked so I brought him up to date with everything. Jasper had an allergic reaction to some type of bug bite from being outside so he was treated for it and his shots updated.  I love taking him with me in my truck he doesn't back seat drive or criticize my driving and only asks for french fries when I drive for McD for my once in awhile iced coffee and he is so good. Today has me back in the job searching on line.  Trying to stay upbeat and also waiting to be called back to my seasonal job in NJ. Its bad out there and not trying to be a pesimistic but it doesn't show any signs of breaking open. I keep saying I am going to vacumn my truck and keep putting it off before I know it winter will sneak up on me. I have physical theraphy today and am waiting to hear back from the Rothman Insitute for an appointment to schedule surgery for my lift shoulder for the 3rd time in 9 months. Trying to stay upbeat.  Everybody have a great day.

Good morning Linda,

Good luck with the job search.  I know how bad the job market is.  Seems like most of the jobs today are gotten by networking with people you know.

I am in the dumps again today.  I thought yesterday was bad when I got on the scale and gained a half a pound.  Today I got on the scale and it is up another pound.  I just don't get it.  It is driving me out of my mind.  I am 6 weeks out tomorrow and doing everything I am supposed to do.  It is bad enough having a stall but this........  I just feel like getting back into bed, getting under the covers and crying.......

Ho hum,

Geoff - PUT AWAY THE SCALE!!! Once a week MAX! Men have water weight fluctuation too, you could have eaten something yesterday that made you retain water. Also - there are going to be stalls where the scale is cruel. It is a hard habit to break but get on the scale one day a week at the same time. I weigh monday mornings after my shower. Also, one of the worst culprits of post WLS gain.... having to use the bathroom lol HAng in there!!

Geoff,

PLEASE don't weigh yourself daily. I am speaking from experience here. I weighed myself daily for 5 YEARS. And put myself into a roller coaster of emotions constantly. I just began a month ago to put away the scale. I will only weigh myself about once per month now. And trust me, it's hard, as I work in a doc office with 3 scales, and have 2 at home.

But you will only make things worse mentally if you obsess over it. Just follow your food regimin and pick a day once per week to weight. Also remember to Always weigh in the morning. You will weigh more in the evening.

Hang in there........NO CRYING! You are just in the beginning, give it time!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Liz/Jojo,

Thanks, I think I am going insane.

I will follow your advice and start weighing myself on Monday mornings.

Geoff,

You heard it before and hear it again, Put the scale away!  It is not your friend and will drive you crazy if you let it.  Go by monthly measurements, how your clothes are fitting and pictures of before and now. . .  Stalls are a big part of this journey and I believe I had my first one at about 6 weeks, so just keep working the tool and it will do what it needs to.

Sending you a hug, cause I think you need it right about now ;)

Take care, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Hi all,

Met with my dance teachers last night to help me go over some choreography for my song and I am feeling sooooo much better about doing it.  Next Tuesday I try the song with my dress.  I think I will take my fat clothes and do the stripper thing also.  It's for the fashion show next weekend. Yikes!  That is coming up fast!!

Today is Library again.  It was very busy yesterday so hopefully it will be the same today too!

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Good Morning all........

Today has me back at work, since SIL is feeling better and knee swelling has subsided.

I will wor****il 3:30, head home, throw in a load of wash, warm up some dinner and head off to Algebra. Johnny and kiddos are running errands and visiting with people this evening, so I won't see any of them until after class tonight.

Hope everyone has a great day!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
