Hello Chris,
I don't know you but I wish you the BEST! Sending you positive thoughts and prayers!  I am a high risk candidate due to the fact that my mother is a breast cancer survivor, they said she wouldn't survive and she had her surgery in 1971 and is 85 and going strong!!!  I recently had a friend, she had the ductal stage 1 also...she is doing really well also!!!!  You have alot of support here!  Best wishes! Carol,
I've met more people just from this web site, and I thank you for sharing your story. My mom's older sister and one of her daughters both died of breast CA. I believe that my paternal grandmother died of ovarian cancer back when I was a little girl. If insurance decides that I qualify, I'm going to have the genetic testing done to determine my ovarian cancer risk. If I'm a genetic positive I plan on getting my ovaries removed pronto. I'm glad to know that your mom is doing so well and I hope you never have to experience this. Her story gives me hope. Thank you.

Hello Chris,
Yes my mothers mother whom I never met died of breast cancer.  My mother was only twelve it was the year 1936 so they didn't have the technology of course back then so basically they did what little treatment they could do and then that was it.  Also my mother had a complete hysterectomy at the time of her mastectomy.  She is amazing! I'm so grateful shes my mother and still going strong! Sometimes she runs circles around me! LOL...I watched the movie The Secret..not sure if you have heard of it..really big last year when it came out but there was a woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer and she kept herself in basically a stressfree enviroment and watched funny movies..and kept thanking god for her healing..and don't you know she was healed.  It was amazing what the mind can do if you truely believe in the miracle of healing.  Watch it if you haven't, its really encouraging!
