Good morning folks, here we are again!

Today is my usual Monday - 60 minutes in the morning on the elliptical, and then 60 minutes with the free weights over lunch.

I'm very excited!

I did in fact secure a cheap set of P90x dvds over the weekend, and will be kicking off that program next week. I'm going to make sure I have everything I need, adjust my workout schedule, download and print up progress sheets from the website, and kick it all off one week from today!

I think it's going to be very challenging.

What's on the agenda for everybody else today?

morning Norm!

Today has me starting something new Rocco has thought up for me.  He wants me to focus on certain areas of the body for a few weeks at a time to really get them toned.

So, I will head to the gym and do at least 30 mins of cardio, probably on the treadmill.   Then, since he knows me so well and has apparently listened to me complain about my batwings... I will be working on triceps, chest, and abs for the next 3 weeks.  He has me doing at least 2 sets each of 4 different exercises on each area.  He gave me specific things to do for the triceps and chest and told me to do whatever I want for the abs.

That's my plan and I'm sticking to it!!

Edited to change cardio to 1 hr spin class.. I really miss going and the instructor who doesn't KILL YOU is there tonight.  So, I will go to that for cardio!!!!!

P90X is awesome!  Good luck - you are going to work your butt off!!

I was up and at the gym at 5AM.  YIKES - it is still dark outside at that time!  Anyway, 30 minutes on the elliptical and 15 on the bike.

I am done for the day and I am soooo excited about that!

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Trying to figure out my after work schedule - was going to go to Curves tonight but since the Phils are actually on at a DECENT time I'll take hubby home so he can settle in to watch the game and I'll ride my recumbant bike for ONE HOUR (this will be a first so wish me luck...)

I will hit my karate class at 7 and then head to the gym for a quick cardio workout.

Had a hard time getting in gear this morning... was UP and dressed for workout, but every time I got to the car to actually leave, I remembered something else that I had to run back into the house for.  I think I added about a mile to this morning's run just going back and forth!  Haha.  The neighbors (if they had been watching) would have been amused.  Result, of course, is that I was running late yet again.  Called work and said "I'm going to be late, live with it."  It's nice to treat my health as a priority instead of always taking second fiddle to other stuff.

Anyway, once I finally arrived at the gym, I did a really nice 35 minutes (not counting warmup and cooldown) on the treadmill, at a nice high incline (for me) of 6% (out of 10, on this particular one) and pushing the pace.  Really felt good!  Took my time and did some good stretching afterward, too.

I have class after work today so don't get home until about 10:30, so it's become really important to me to start mondays with a nice workout.  Gives me the energy to get through the rest of the really long day!

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

Craigslist. 40 bucks.

You can get them for about that price on ebay, but they all come from China and are probably bootleg.

Then again, if it plays, who cares?
