Good blustery morning all. Well Pam, I thought I was going to be one of those ER people at 2:30 this morning - woke up to a loud BOOM in my house and knew immediately what that sound was - my mother falling. None of us are feeling great right now and I guess she had one of her stomach bouts last night and made it to her bathroom but not back to her bed - fell right inside her bedroom up against her door. So I let her sit for a moment and get her bearings then I got her up and back to bed. I don't think she hurt herself because she moved pretty good. I went out to the laundry room and got her walker (she normally uses a cane) and brought that back to her so she could steady herself more if she needed another bathroom run, which she did as soon as I got the walker there, so I got her to the bathroom then waited til she was ready to go back to bed and made it safely then I went back to bed. Needless to say I never really went back to sleep.

Hubby and I are both battling sore throats right now and I picked my nephew up to come visit for a couple of days and he's hacking and coughing, too. Hubby stayed home because he was feverish and coughing a lot, plus now the guys will be there for mom. I'll call later to check on everyone.

So that was my evening - got to work early today because we have some big bosses coming in for a meeting this morning and I'm waiting for breakfast to be delivered. They'll probably find me asleep at my desk!

I am soooo sorry to hear all of this with your mom - It is soooo hard to watch them struggle with illness.  I had it with my mom for four years, however, I would do it all over again, just to have her back with me!  Keep your chin up and know that she loves you and all that you are doing for her!

glad u didn't have to go to the ER.  I hope mom is doing ok today.  My mom used to fall a lot when she was living alone.  Thank goodness we got her the "I've fallen and can't get up" button so she could call for help if she needed it. 

I'm glad you were there for her and were able to help her to get back on her feet.

Stay strong.. it's tough, but you can do it!

Oh Kathy, I'm sorry to hear about mom's "incident with gravity" as we call it.  It's scary!  And at 2:30 we would've been just FINE taking you and mom in - cause that was when NOBODY wanted to come see us last night.

Hope she's feeling ok today.

Good Morning Pam & PA;

Today I'm tired. Usually I wake up full of energy but that doesn't seem to be happening today. I think I might go back and lay down a bit. I feel so good most of the time I forget I'm still recovering from surgery.

My plans for the day are to take my 2.5 mile walk either outside if the weather clears up or on my treadmill, I perfer outside.

Then to complete my paper for tomorrow nights class.

I also have to complete a diagram of the Bible text my paper is focused on, that is new to me so I'm struggling a bit with that.

After that is completed I have to fold clothes, they've been washed since last Friday and are sitting on my vanity chair. Then straighten up the house a bit and heat up dinner when Gene gets home.
