***Wednesday roll call***

First off....I'd like to come up with some sort of community/state wide program that allows people to "stagger" their entrances to the ER.  Seriously...between 7pm and 7:15pm we had 25 people walk in to be seen.  Since midnight?  4 people.  And that happens a lot.  Just strange....not to mention started out the shift pretty stressful.

So...on the way home...gotta drop some stuff off in the mail.  When I get home I need to pack up food for today, the litter boxes, go through the mail I've been ignoring, and fold the laundry that once again I did not fold on the day that I actually washed it.

Nice and simple stuff...then bed back for 2nd of three nights @ LVH tonight.  I think I saw rain or at least wind in the forecast for today?  Be careful out there.  Hopefully it'll be good sleeping weather :)

Hi,

Too bad they don't have an Express Care program.  Here at Cole, between 4-8pm, people can come to the second floor and be seen.  It's nice.

Anyway, another Library day.  Yesterday the internet went down so we couldn't do much.  The time went slowwwwwwww.  Hope they are up today.

I am supposed to get my dress today for the fashion show!  I am really feeling like silly about all this.  What do they call it?  Folly?  I guess we all need that a little.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Good Morning everyone  -

Another long day for me.  Work til 3:30pm and then work tonight at the Doc's.  On the upside, I found out that we are not having hours at the Doc's this Saturday.  I had already taken off on Friday since Monday is a holiday for us here at my full-time job.  Woo Hoo !  Four day weekend !

Hope everyone has a great day.

Lisa

Good Morning.........

I was hoping to have lost the couple extra baby pounds so windy days like today would blow me around and make me feel "light".........but alas, my ass likes the few pounds so I will steadily be grounded.

I will wor****il 3:30, get kids and go home to pack a few things. Then make something to eat. I will then be off to Algebra class where I will recieve my test back and no doubt cry my whole way home because of the grade.

Then I will stop by my sisters to drop some more things of for our 2nd weekend of the yard sale.
Then home! Yay!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

sorry your night started off so crazy Pam..

Today had me up working at 6 again.. trying to get the OT in the check. I can really use the extra $$ right now. The fall is very difficult for me financially because of back to school, Siehara's birthday and Halloween all within 2 months of each other.  SOOOO, I am working OT and getting back on track with my Pampered Chef business.

After work or maybe on my lunch, I need to get in cardio work.  Today is my "day off" from strength training and is labeled "hard cardio day"  I might just split the cardio and do 30 mins at lunch and 30 after work.

Later, Siehara and I were invited to have dinner in a friend's sukkah.  She promised me protein and told me not to bring anything but something to decorate her sukkah.  SO, I will probably try to find some kind of dessert that I can eat and bring it anyway! LOL!   Siehara also made a nice paper chain to hang in the sukkah.

That's it for me.  The rain is supposed to stop by noon, but it is supposed to be windy all day.  Hopefully her sukkah is sturdy and we will not get blown away!

Can you or Steffi please enlighten us non-jewish friends of what "Sukkah" means? I am quite curious. Thanks!

LOL!! I knew it would come up and should have explained from the start...

A sukkah is a temporary hut that some people build outside their homes for use during the holiday of Sukkot (a harvest holiday).  It is topped with branches and most people decorate them with some sort of fall and/or Jewish themes.   It is 3 sided and you need to be able to see the stars through the top.  It is supposed to resemble what the Israelites lived in when they were living in the wilderness after being freed from Egypt.   Some people actually eat, sleep, and spend much of their days/nights in their sukkahs.

It is a happy holiday, which is a nice change after the solemness of the High Holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.  It lasts for 7 days and the last day is the best and most fun...Simchat Torah.. we read the end of the Torah and then start over at the beginning.  There is singing and dancing and lots of fun stuff happening!
