Saturday supprt group at Barix

Hi all,

     I tend to read and lurk on the board but I have decided to become a more active participant.  Yesterday's meeting at Barix was great.  I don't know what I would do without the people i have been blessed to meet during my weight loss journey.  A special thank you to all the volunteer leaders who give much of themselves (you know who you are  This truly has been a gift from God - both my surgery and the support system.  BTW I think that the PA board is awesome too.  Hope that all of you are enjoying this awesome Sunday in Autumn.

Donna I was also going to post to thank the leaders at Barix for a great Saturday. It's quite a hike for some of us but what a worthwhile day!

It's fun to meet some of the members here in person. Of course, I remain faceless on the forum till time frees up to negotiate the not-so-intuitive download process here!

I'm glad to see you posting instead of lurking today!!!      It was nice to meet you yesterday too.  And I agree---all the Barix volunteers are great.  And the PA board is the best!!

Yes, it is an awesome Autumn Sunday today, isn't it?!  I'm so happy to see you posting and was so glad to hear you having such a great and positive day yesterday.  It was great to see you at support group!  You're looking awesome and seem to have so much energy and enthusiasm.  It's truly inspirational!

We thank you all for coming.
Support groups help us all and we all get so much out of them. They work because of all of you who take time out of your lives' to help to make them work. Your desire to come and share is the stuff we love. We are all so fortunate to have such a positive moving group and we've come to realize how special that is. Special because it can't be found everywhere but we've got it at Barix and many other off shoot groups. We are just one blessed group(s). And Everyone of us deserve that blessing. So please keep coming and please keep that joy. Today was a lovely day.

I was disappointed that I couldn't stay for the whole day, but at least I made it to the first few hours this time!! Got some great new pointers on food and eating - carbs and proteins - no matter how far you're out you can always learn something new from this group. Thank you everyone!!

Kathy- didn't realize you were there!  Would have loved to meet you in person :)

I think they moved your group upstairs for the first part of the meeting? I'm sorry I missed meeting you, too! I had to leave at 2:00 to take my mom a few places or I would have stayed for the big group meeting after the break. Hopefully I can get there again in November and meet you (in person) then.

   Thank you for the thanks! It meant alot to me when I sat down to read the boards last night.  I know I do this to keep me on track and if I can help someone else along the journey I have helped myself as well.

  I am so glad to see at every meeting you can make.
