3 Years out today and what a ride
Hey yal. I am up earlier than I want today but that is alright because today is a day of celebration for me. Might as well have a longer day to do it. 3 years ago today I was in the OR under Dr. Brader's skillful care. I would never have imagined the ride this would be, but thank god I signed on for it. My life is better in too many ways to count.
Each year I try and decide what i should do to celebrate the day, should I buy something? Go somewhere? Last year I gave myself the gift of just being happy today, to give myself permission to let go of any fears about not getting to my goal weight, anxiety about my food intake etc. It was a great day. That is what I am doing this year, permission to be happy without fear or anxiety.
I am planning to post something in my blog later on when I have time to think more, but I just wanted to say to you all that today I am blissful with no anxiety and fear and that is my present to myself.
( now if jason wants to show up with a gift from tiffanys that would also be alright by me LOL )

CONGRATULATIONS TO ONE OF THE MOST TRULY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE OF OUR WORLD!
Nicole you have done so much and been through your share of struggles but you always plug away at the difficulties and reach triumph on the other end. You help so many with your common sense and your therapeutic skill even when you sometimes doubt your own stability. You've done so much to help me and others, whether it's you and Jason being the primo scouts and idea people for our Spring '08 PA Pilgrimage or coming all the way from Lancaster to join us for a support group meeting in Harleysville at Shauna's or Heather W's or Easton at Liz's or arranging the Zip Line Tours or providing that tower of confident strength on the OH boards. Nicole your journey is phenomenal in my eyes and I've been the fortunate one to see it from the beginning. Thank you for being you. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for all your support.
Have a wonderful, blissful day today. We'll all be thinking fondly of you.

Congrats on your 3 years Nicole! I have enjoyed getting to know you and spending time with you over the past few months. I still can't believe you took the time to come and sit with me on Wednesday morning - you are truly a beautiful person, inside and out!
