10/01/09 Support Group Meeting

It was great to finally meet Melissa, Dave, and Holly last night.  The support group meeting at the Health Campus was great - the "1st Annual Drop Your Pants Fashion Show" was absolutely fabulous.  The post op participants were a real inspiration to those of us that are pre op.

Wasn't Dr. Brader great ... I'm so glad this was my first time attending a support group meeting.  From what I was told this was the best meeting so far.

Are the Lancaster meetings the 1st Thursday of each month? I am a Barix patient but will probably drop in on these meeting from time to time, if they are open to all. Distance can be a bear sometimes!

What is the location in the health campus?

They are the First Thursday of the month.  There is an OPEN HOUSE this Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the HC.  

It was for me the best group yet.  Dr. Brader showing up was amazing.  He truely is a VERY COOL GUY!!!!

The team is now on Facebook.....Bariatric Physicians Specialists when you do the search.  We are also creating a Buddy System.  You can find that under the discussions tab on their FB page....

I was just on FB and did a search but they aren't coming up.  Am I searching for an application/group/person, etc..... I'm not real advanced in my facebooking, but I'd definitely like to become a fan and sign up to be a buddy.

I'd like to try and start coming to meetings, but I usually forget or am so tired after work - it's about a 45 - 60 minute drive for me.  Maybe in November....

It is just off the route 30 bypass... near Park City Mall if you know where that is.

It is not hard to find.

Can you please supply me with more information regarding the meeting close to Park City??  I don't live that far from there.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks so much!

It meets the first Thursday of every month.  If you know where Park City is get off RT 30 the next exit past Park City - at the 741 (Rohrerstown Road) Exit.  Turn right onto Rohrerstown Rd at the light turn right into Lancaster General's Health Campu.  Make the first left and the building is on your right.
