I take dry D3.  Only found it on-line (bariatriceating dot com).   I'll check out the sublinguals at Wegman's though.  I understand due to the bypass, we have to have dry D3 --- not D2 which absorbs differently or somewhere we don't have :-)

"dry D" is because vitamin D is a "fat soluable vitamin" which is what we do not absorb due to the intestinal track change.  I *believe* that the D in my calcium is 'dry' because it's not in a capsule type form with liquid in it.  I'm not 100% sure about that.

Pam,

Just as note, if you wanted to go see Dr. P, and because I have insurance issues in that the one I now have has exclusions for WLS (glad I had my surgery two years ago), anyway, they only charge $45 for a visit, which if you have a flex spending account you can get reimbursed for pre-tax dollars. . .  anyway, I made one for the 29th of October. . .

I had the vitamin D deficiency in my labwork last year, will be interested in seeing what it's like this year, but I am a sun person. . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Pam

Glad you have some answers and as usual thanks for sharing.  I take synthroid but my last blood work showed my levels were not just what they should be so we are testing again next week.  I have been having horrible problems with sleep and even ambien does not help at all.  I'm wondering if m D levels are also low.  I'll soon find out.
