Robert Friedman, 74, of Lehighton, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009 in St. Lukes Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (DAngelo) Friedman and they had celebrated 16 years of marriage this past July. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late, Jacob and Bessie (Shulman) Friedman. He served his country in the Army and worked for 35 years for Bethlehem Steel before retirement in 1993. He also worked for many years for the Bethlehem Parking Authority. He was a member of Congregation Brith Sholom, Bethlehem. Survivors: Wife, daughters, Lisa R. Hunt of Whitehall, Leslie A. Friedman of Wilmington, Del.; brother, Cy Friedman and his wife Jeri of Rockaway N.J.; sister, Joan Nappen and her husband Barnett of Surprise Ariz.; and nine grandchildren. Services: Will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem. Interment will be in Brith Sholom Cemetery. Shiva will be observed on Wednesday and Thursday at Lisas Home in Whitehall.
