I have heard many many complaints about the Easton Hosp.  I dont think I will be going hehe
I live on College Hill.  Do you go to the other hospital support  groups?

I'm from Whitehall, so I'm not too far from you either.  Welcome to the boards.  You will find lots of love and support here.  There is no judgement on this board, only true caring and concerned friends.  They will help you with weight loss issues, as well as anything else you need support for.  

Congrats on meeting the man of your dreams, by the way!!  Good luck with getting your medical stuff under control.  You can do it!!

Like Liz said, all the local hospitals have support for WLS patients.  I had my surgery at Westfield Hospital and had a positive experience.  The support group is ok, but I liked Barix better.  I wish I could get there more often.

Thank you so much for the reply. I am going to try to go to Barix this Sat.  Mapquest said it was about an hour from me, I think I need it.  Do you ever go to the St. Lukes groups or Easton Hosp groups?

Welcome to the group!  I too, am a "transplant"...lol...moved to pa from jersey last year.  It's a great place to live.

Congrats on the AMAZING job you have done thus far with the 200+ loss.  I'm sure you could teach many of us a thing or two!

As far as getting back on track...start doing one thing at a time.  Track your fluid, for example.  Or make sure you are eating protein first, fruits and veggies second, and limiting carbs.  Go back to the basics.  Once off track a little bit, you need to go back to the basics if you will.  But it can be very difficult to do that all at once "all over again"  Here are some of the things you need to focus on:

1 - Exercise.  At least walk some each day
2- Track protein, fat etc.  Make sure protein is your #1 priority at meals and snacks
3 - Be aware of grazing/and stop it
4 - Track fluids, make sure you are getting enough of noncarbonated

All basic stuff...but hard to do sometimes!

This is a GREAT place for support and inspiration - however - we are also honest and will give it to you straight.  It's not meant to be mean...it's meant to be truthful!

I definately have to get active again. I used to love doing Bikram yoga in NY but I cant seem to find any centers here, well local.  I am going to walk everyday, now its not too hot.  And you are right about the things I need to focus on, they all seem so basic, yet I am not doing them.  That is not good :(  Thanks for the vote of confidence but I dont think I could teach anyone anything. I need to become the student again asap :(

Welcome and congrats on your success so far, and with finding your love.

Everyone here is very supportive and helpful. All questions are answered, and lots of ideas can be found right here. You are not alone. It's easy to veer of track after time passes. the great thing is that you know you have and want to stop it.

Pam gave you some great ideas to get started again. Also think about logging all of your foods online somewhere. There are alot of great sites for that.

Hang in there, go to support meetings and hang around here. You will get everything you need.
