Hi all - Just wanted to touch base regarding Lisa's dad -

In the tradition of the Jewish period of mourning, it is customary to send condolences of course, however, in lieu of any flowers, most families ask that donations be made in the name of the deceased to the families charity of choice.  After speaking to Lisa last night, there was not one in particular that she could think of, so, if you would like to send a donation, please choose your favorite charity and send it in Lisa's dad's name, then send notifiction of that donation to Lisa.   I am waiting to find out what her dad's name is and will let you know.  I will also find out the name of her synagogue and their address, if you choose to send a donation there, that is another alternative. 

If you should have any questions about the mourning period, called shiva, please feel free to ask.

Nan had educated a few of us as well via e-mail. IF anyone wanted to send something to Lisa (in lieu of flowers) I have been told that house plants, fruit baskets are appropriate.
