Good Morning all..........

Today has me at work for a few hours, then off to my Hematologist appt, then back to wor****il 4:30. then home to make dinner.

If weather holds up, I will take a walk with kiddos to the park and the big kids will ride bikes while Riley plays on the slides.

If it's not good weather, I will be packing and organizing this evening.

After that, Homework time. I have ALOT to do and have some extra studying to do since I am unhappy with my test grade I got back last night.

Hope everyone has a great day!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Don't beat yourself up over the grade - remember you are the mother of 4 and work as well....Just do the best you can - take the same mantra that you probably tell your kids....Did you do your best work?  You are amazing taking on this additional responsibilty and a degree is a degree no matter what your grade point average!  BREATHE!!! :)

Hi Steff

Happy and Healthy New Year to you and your family.  I have been so busy since I got back from Greece trying to catch up.  About the fasting - there are definitely medical exceptions and I would say that we would qualify under that.  Of course that is my opinion and you need to do what is comfortable  and healthy for you.  I get extremely dizzy when I do not eat and sugar levels drop so low.

Hope you are having a good school year.

Good Morning PA -

Today I had my labs done and now I am at school until 3:45 with the most amazing group of 3rd graders!  Tonight is the PTO fundraiser at Red Robin and I am going to enjoy the evening out with parents, students and my teacher friends.

Liz - hoping everything is OK for you - keeping you in my thoughts.

Pam - hope you are feeling better!

Good morning all - OK, I'm not Jewish or a doctor but I would think a protein shake or two thru-out your day of fasting might be a good thing. Just from personal experience I know that when I do not eat I get the shakes now and my energy drops really fast. So definitely make sure the water intake is good and again, maybe a protein shake or two to keep your sugar levels normal?

I'm back at work today - took mom for her pet scan yesterday and B12 shot. Spent the day with the doggy and he was a happy little boy. Actually got some productive things done - cleaned out the armoire in my bedroom which was becoming a catch-all for junk - found 2 bras that I can return to Lane Bryant that I had ordered - took a big bag of clothes and a bag of 'stuff' to Goodwill. Then after I picked mom up and took her home I ran back out to Curves and had a good work-out.

Not sure what's on my agenda for tonight - have to go to the store for stuff to make an ice cream cake for work tomorrow - mom wasn't sure she wanted to get her hair done or not, so we'll wait and see on that one.

Oh, and trying to figure out our new health insurance options at work - that's taking a lot of time and effort....help!!

Sounds like a good idea - and there are places I can keep it refrigerated and hide so I don't upset anyone who doesn't know my condition.  (Not sure if there is anyone left who DOESN'T know....but...:))  THanks!

And....UGH...good luck with the health insurance options.....That should be a full time job in itself!

We're basically going back to the old traditional type plan - you have to meet a deductible and out-of-pocket maximum before coverage kicks in at 80/20 - the company is offering 3 options and you just have to sit back and try to (a) figure out which option is best for you and then (b) try to figure out how much money to put in an FSA or other 'savings' plan. ARGH!! The biggest issue is going to be trying to figure out costs of prescriptions and stuff like that - some are covered at a base rate co-pay (diabetes meds, etc.) while others are going to be paid at the fully negotiated price.

I think my head may explode - gee, I wonder if that's covered!!! LOL!!!

oh the lovely consumer directed high deductible health plan it sounds like.  It is not fun, even for me, to determine which is the best plan and how sick will I be next year.. good luck. If you have questions, let me know. I can try to help.

Good Morning to all you out there!

Just checking in and wishing you all a happy day, it is almost end of work week for many of us and thanks to the Jewish holiday, I have off on Monday.

No big plans today, just the usual, work, move the body and my AA meeting tonight.

Have a great day, and prayers and good thoughts to those in need.

Hugs, Laureen
