Good Morning Everyone!
I did a 2 mile run this morning. Can you say that you guys are lucky that I did not make the local news- "Local Woman in coma from jogging"? lol. I truly admire those people who can run. I still cannot run so the last 2 miles I just walked/jogged. I did 4 miles total. That will be it for this girl today. What is everyone else doing to move today?

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

Congrats on your 2 miles - woo-hoo!!! And as humid as it was today??? I would have been dying - I was sweating just from walking the dog in that muck this morning.

Depends on what my evening brings on whether or not I work-out - I may skip tonight as my back is killing me right now due to my TOM (some day that will go away...I hope). I have to make an ice cream cake tonight for work tomorrow and have to go to the store for the ingredients, so I may skip a work-out tonight, but we'll see.

Shilpa, I am with you about the running! I keep telling myself maybe I'd like running better when I lose more weight, but it's not looking too likely that I'll ever love it the way some people do.  Good thing I have other exercises that I do enjoy!

Today I'm going to a Power Step class after work.  I'm also going to get in some walking during my lunch hour, at least 1 mile or so.

Good morning - and good for you, Shilpa!  A little variation never hurts - addresses different muscles and movements than always doing the same thing.

This morning at the humidity controlled GYM (there's no way I would have run - couldn't have gotten any oxy from that humid muck), I did 25 mins on the treadmill at a steady speed of 4mph, but varied inclines to maintain a HR of 120 (fat burning range).  Then topped that off with 5 mins on the arm bike, variable resistance, at 20 rpm (measured at 85 cals).  Whooee.

THEN, got out of the shower and realized that I had left my work clothes at home.  Just great.  Talk about buzzkill.

Sigh.

morning Shilpa and everyone else.. Good for you on the 2 miles!

Well, Rocco cancelled on me yesterday because he lost track of time.. damn him.  I still worked out, but since I wasn't feeling so hot, I didn't push myself as much as I would have had he been there.  BUT, at least I stayed when I wanted to just leave and crawl into bed.

Today, we are SUPPOSED to be meeting at 4.  He better be there today.  We will do triceps, calves and abs.  I want to get in a good ab workout today and I know the only way I'll get the variety of work that I want is if he is there.  I have sent him a couple of reminder texts today, so unless he is tired of me bugging him, he'll be there.

Finally got to get in the pool today.  Swam laps for about 45 minutes.  I will continue with my stretching and toning and swimming on the days in between.
