UPDATE ON DAD

My stepmom has been working so hard to take care of him and she needs a break, desperately.  So, after discussing it with the hospice people, they are going to move my dad into an inpatient hospice facility for about 5 days.   This will give my stepmom some much needed respite.  Good news is that it is closer to me than their house, so hopefully I will be able to get there a few times over the next 5 days.  He is being moved today and will go back home on Tuesday or early Wednesday.

Keep him in your prayers.  He's comfortable, but certainly not doing great.

Taking care of someone on hospice care takes a heavy toll on a person. Hopefully this will be a help to her knowing he is still well taken care of.

I hope you get to visit him often these next few days. My heart goes out to you and your family.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Lisa -
It's good that your step-mom will get this well-deserved break.  I'll keep all of you in my thoughts.
