He turned the corner

My DH has turned the corner to getting well.  Turned out it was not the flu just a bad cold that his system could not handle because of the lung disease.  We appreciate all the prayers and good thoughts.  I firmly believe in the power of prayer.  Also thank you for the advice on taking care of myself.  Liz, I would never have thought to pack food.  That certainly kept me on track.  This would have been one of those times I would have turned to food for comfort.  I am so glad I have my good friends on OH to go to instead of food.  Thank you all.

Glad to hear it wasn't the flu...and definately keep remembering to take care of yourself.  It's hard to remember to keep putting ourselves in the priority list when taking care of others.

Continued thoughts for more healing!

kathy,

I'm SO glad to hear that he's doing better!  And that you're doing so well with staying on plan despite this challenge (emotionally and logistically).  Great work!

SO glad that he is doing better!!

I learned the hard way, unfortunately my MOm was battling cancer over the last 1 1/2 years so I spent a lot of time at Dr's and in the hospital with her and found that if I didn't have my good snack I turned to things like pretzels and chips from the vending machine. MUCH better to be prepared. I know how hard it is to put yourself first - I still struggle with that 2 1/2+ years out.

Prayers continue till your hubby is home!

So glad he is doing better.  Glad you were able to take care of yourself as well.  Keep your chin up, and prayers and good thoughts being sent your way.
