Carbs

Hi All -
What is your take on the following nutrition panel?  I've been adding some carbs back into my diet and this is one of the items that I have chosen.  I mostly do a half-serving as my portion and have it with tuna or some cheese.   To be honest, I'm a little scared of carbs (deathly afraid of bread...haha).  In fact, I'm scared to have this box in my house for fear of over doing it.  But I have been trying to incorporate some new items into my diet and I was looking for a little crunch.  Let me know what you think.
Thanks, Lisa

I think that they are fine especially if you are having a 1/2 serving with a good protein source. What I would do is brek the entire box down into servings right away. Take out 9 crackers and put them in a zip lock bag - then but the bags into the box. THat way you aren't tempted to grab more then 1 serving at a time. It also makes packing lunch much easier :)

I tried them, and they do get soggy from sitting.  It is very tempting to eat more than you should.  I'd say if you can avoid carbs, then you should.  Carbs are the one thing your body will hold onto during the early part of your journey.  Try to keep your carbs limited to green leafy veggies.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

If you want something carby with snap and crunch try grilling up some asparagus slightly, sprinkle on italian seasoning or such and wrap 3 long spears in 3 slices of  roast beef and crunch away.   While crackers aren't horrible for you, a few things come to mind when I read that label.  high sodium, enriched flour, slider food.   Make the carbs you add back in....natural.
