Barix Support Meeting Wednesday 9/16
This Wednesday night in the Lobby of Barix will be the Post-Op surgery meeting at 7pm with Dennis leading the group as always along with Robin R as our lap band leader so come out to get some support .
Everyone is welcome to join us at the support group meeting!
Pre-Ops just a reminder if you join us we will be focusing on Post Op topics at this meeting and we do not sugar coat things it is not meant to scare you but reality of this surgery it is not all sunshine at times. If you have questions about a pre-op topic please ask one of us one on one or join us Tuesday night.
If you bring any clothing for a clothing exchange PLEASE at the end of the meeting take back anything that is not taken. It can not be left at Barix and if you leave it means the leaders then have to clean it up and dispose of it.
If there are any topics you want discussed at this months meeting feel free to leave us a note here or else touch base with Dennis at [email protected] before the meeting.

Also we will be returning on October 3 with some amazing and new additions groups! Due to request and conversations among all of the support leaders we are adding two new groups of support!
1) Support for the Supporting team in your life! It will be run by Ernie Rehr who is the spouse of our Lap Band leader Robin Rehr. This group will not have any of the WLS patients just the support people so PLEASE bring your support person out to this new group! Your spouse,boyfriend or girl friend , your life partner, your parents, close friends or even adult children. Whoever supports you in this journey bring them out to a meeting. They will be able to talk freely express fears and concerns! Ask questions! This is a good for pre-ops that have support people or people that are not supportive because of the fear of the unknown! Also of course Post -Ops!
2) Kids Support Group which will be lead by at least one secured leader Jordon Dhoble he is the son of Shauna Dhoble he has been there through every step of his mom's surgery process and understands this surgery and what changes happen. For young children that are going through changes with their parents having this surgery or have had surgery to help let them know they matter and are part of this change. We would like the children to be at least 5 years of age and up but PLEASE keep in mind this session is NOT a babysitting group while you attend your portion of the meeting.
So we hope to see everyone at Barix on October 3 from 12-4 with new and exciting changes!
