Shrink Support

Hi Everyone,

Well they finally figured out why I have been so fatigued, my iron level was low.  They put me on an iron pill today and said over the next 8 weeks I will feel my energy level coming back.  I am already feeling a difference from the 1 pill.  Much much better than this morning.

Anyway, someone metioned to me that my doctor's office has a shrink group every Monday night which only costs 5 bucks.  I guess this is to keep everyone on an even keel.

I heard that sometimes people get depressed after the bypass surgery, but I haven't had any of that.

Has anyone gone to a support group like this and do you think it is benefiical?

Thanks.

Geoff,

After surgery I of course went to the support group meetings and then found with all the emotions going on in me combined with changes I went back to therapy. I would say go for it it is $5 bucks go once or twice and if not your think you at least checked it out.

Glad to hear your low energy is iron based and they are starting you in the pills..Good Luck

Support groups are important, they dont necessarily have to be from a "shrink" standpoint LOL
if they offer it? I say go. see what ya think. I was pretty good myself for a year and a half afterwards but eventually crashed emotionally and needed some help.
glad you are on some iron now
