OT/ Hang on or bail off

Yesterday Heather and I went riding.  I rode her horse Tiki because Cassidy was out of commission and she rode a friend of ours horse Sky and all of a sudden Tiki jumped sideways and took off like a bat out of he$$ OMG and I had a heck of a time stopping her.  I thought to myself thank God it was Sunday and all the businesses were closed and no one was around to run over and leave hoof prints on and I was finally able to stop her. Well Sky was right behind her and we still have no clue as to what spooked them.  Heather said to me Mom I am so proud of you.  You kept your cool and hung on.  A year ago you would have gone off.  I actually thought to myself if I go down its gonna hurt worst so I hung on and was able to pull her up.  Needless to say I was one scared person!  Kept my wits about me. A hundred pounds ago I could not have. Never a dull moment!  I want Cassidy to feel better soon!
