Been on the road and...
....managed to lose 5 lbs. in the last 2 weeks, despite 2 long weekends away for family events, and a LOT of time in the car driving to Michigan, home again, Vermont, and home again.
Keys to success were:
I took pre-measured protein powder in ziploc bags for breakfast to be sure I could get the protein in,
Kept a 32 oz. water container going at all times,
Packed a cooler bag with my "car food" for snacks (jerkey, sf pudding, greek yogurt with a side small container of sf jelly for flavoring, muscle milk lite)
Got in the pool each day and did at least SOME knd of workout (not like the gym, but hey...)
At restaurants, gave thanks for my DH, who asked me each time what HE should order that I could share. I did order on my own twice - a shirmp ****tail at Red Lobster and ate only some shrimp, and a chicken breast at a diner-type restaurant which I ate about 1/3 of, with a little broccoli.
Thanks for all your tips and suggestions in the earlier "travel food" thread a couple of weeks ago.

Super planning on your part - that's great! Altho I don't know how some of you guys eat jerky - I tried it once and it was a killer for me! Just too tough and hard to chew - same with shrimp - I have to be really careful with that even this far out (19 months out). But glad you were able to enjoy both and got your proteins in!! Congrats on the 5 lb loss as well - that's FANTASTIC!!
