I have a question on discomfort time period

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question please.  How long does the discomfort in the tummy usually laugh after the gastric bypass?

It hurts a lot when I sneeze and cough.

Does this usually go away pretty quick or does it last for a bit?

I am 1 week post op.

Geoff - it took about two weeks for me to stop having the discomfort.  Hold a pillow up against your stomach if you can when you feel it coming on.  That helps a lot.

I think each person is different.  I only had discomfort for a couple days after I got home.  (but I've always been a fast healer) . 

For me it was about 3 weeks.

lol, my luck it will be 8 weeks... :-)

It was about 4-5 days for me. So it's definately dependant on each person.

I didn't have much discomfort early on, but just so you know, you can still get a little twinge on the left side 8 weeks out - just every so often!
