Sticking to the Basics - Tuesday

Good Morning All!! 

B: english muffin wiith light cream cheese
S: fage and peaches
L: homemade italian wedding soup (very little noodles)
S: cheddar cheese
D: leftover pork roast and tomato/mozzarella/basil salad
S: chocolate pudding with PB

What's On your plate for today? How did  you do over the holiday weekend? I did OK. Was having some tummy troubles so my carbs were high - but other then that I did good.

Good morning Liz and PA friends,

I'm finally on pureed foods - YAY - the protein drinks have been making me so nauseous. 

I took canned salmon, added an egg, olive oil, onion powder and pureed in Magic Bullet.  Made a little salmon cake and salteed in olive oil.  YUMMY!  It's so good and high in protein.

Breakfast:  Salmon cake

Probably having it for lunch and dinner too - lol - YUMMY!  Another two weeks and I'll be on soft foods.  I'm attempting to get protein in with food since the protein drinks have not been sitting with me at all.

As an idea to accompany it, take a little plain greek yogurt and mix in some pureed cucumber, onion, and garlic powder...   makes a greek tzatziki sauce that's very high in protein, with no fat or carbs.  Yum!

Still switching things up a bit, especially with at-work workouts... so...

B:  Italian wedding soup (low fat, low sodium, very few noodles)
S:  Grapes with cheese
L:  Turkey chili with corn and black beans, greek yogurt
S:  Pineapple with karen's fruit dip
D:  Crock pot beef stew
S:  Choc pudding with strawberries or banana and cool whip

E:  12 mins rowing, upper body weights, pushups.  I plan to go to Zumba class tonight for the first time!

I'm back from vaca and back to posting on this thread!

Here's today's plan:
B- Syntha 6 cookies & cream (made me nauseated -- might throw this one out!)
S- cabot cheddar
L- chopped antipasto
S- Chobani with blueberries
S- half a Supreme Protein bar (post-workout)
D- chicken thighs simmered in diced tomatoes, small salad
S- ricotta with vanilla syrup

I made  lowfat buffalo chicken dip yesterday and i made so much ill be eating the same thing everyday for a week haha i dont mind though its gooood!
