Cold medications - need a quick reply please!

I felt it coming on yesterday....and fear that I am getting a summer cold. I am 8 weeks out from surgery and need to verify which cold medications are okay.

I would typically use:
DayQuil - active ing. is acetomeniphen, so is that okay?
Mucinex - my magical cure for chest congestion - is that okay?

Some liquid tylenol has sugar - any recommendations there?

I know to get the liquid or split the tablets....just don't want to take something I shouldn't.

It's a HUGE work week for me....so can't afford to be down and out for long!

Dayquil/nyquil are fine! So is mucinex

watch the liquid tylenol some dump on it. I use the rapid release pills and they work great.

Hope you feel better soon!

A homeopathic remedy for a cold  (provided you don't already have a runny nose) ---

20- 25 black peppercorns
cup of ho****er.

Chew the black peppercorns and then chase it with the o****er.

Uncomfortablef ro a few minutes, but the combinations will blow out any colds.  My hubby has used this remedy for years .  We've been together 9 years and he's not had a cold!

Just an alterative!

Not sure I can do the peppercorns....but hey it's worth a try! The cold seems to be under control for now.
