Good Shabbos everyone.. oh, wait.. wrong forum for that. I wouldn't be online if I was on any forum where that would be appropriate.. LOL!
Went to see my dad at home last night and he looked pretty good considering everything. My step mom and her friend were washing him up when I got there, so I hung with Siehara in their spare room on the computer. I did get to spend a good 45 minutes or so in his room with him, just me and him. It was nice.
Anyway, today is my Sabbath, so I am headed back to synagogue. I feel like I haven't been there in forever. I was there the day we went ziplining, but not for 2 weeks before that and not the week after. So, of course, knowing I was going to be there, my dear friend David asked me if I would be willing to chant the Haftorah today (that singing thing they like me to do). Of course, even though he just asked on Wednesday, I said yes. It doesn't require much from me except a couple of read throughs so why not.
After synagogue, I need to stop at the thrift store to see if I can find a black skirt because that is the "required" dress code for the concert I am singing in next week. I used to have a couple of them, but now I have no black skirts or pants. go figure. I thought about checking Siehara's closet to see if she had any, but it wouldn't hurt for me to own one anyway, so I'll do the thrift store thing.
Then, home to rest for a bit because we are babysitting for David and Sarah's sons.. (age 2 and 6). They have a bundle of energy, so we will probably go over to the playground in my complex to let them burn off steam. It isn't for too long.. mom and dad just want to go out to dinner with another couple. They are taking the 3 month old with them since mom is nursing and she is still eating very often.
That's it for me.. sounds like a lot on my plate, but it really isn't much. Going to synagogue will be nice and relaxing and healing.
Have a great Saturday everyone

I think any forum is a good place to say shabbat shalom! :) (Now I need to get hebrew on my computer and that would have been WAY more fun!) And....I wont tell my sister that you were on the computer on shabbos! :) (Hell, I don't tell my sister about the pork that I eat, so no worries there! :))
Shabbat Shalom! :) Happy chanting! :)
