Newbie saying hello!

I am so excited I just found this board! I have been over on the RNY board for  awhile and could never find anyone in PA. I didn't realize there were state boards. Duh! Anyway I am having RNY later this year with Dr.Giselle Hamad in Pittsburgh. Was wondering if there is anyone who had her as a surgeon and how they felt about her? I only met her once so far. First impression, I really liked her. Also, Am so damn excited I found people closer to home for support.  I hope to make lots of new friends here and am hoping that I can be of some help to others.

I'm from the other end of the state, so I don't know anything about your surgeon, but I just wanted to pop and in say hello !

i put the psych eval answer on the other post. I'll probably have it done this winter.

Congrats and welcome!  I'm from the eastern end of the state, so don't know Dr. Hamad.  You might want to ask her about support groups among her patients (if she doesn't know, that could be a bad sign, actually!) and if she can put you in touch with them.  They'd be a great source for first-hand info about her and her office and followup.

We'll be happy to have you as a regular contributor here!
