A WOW For Me

Hey everyone!!!

So I have been going into my classroom everyday to set up and get ready for the new year..but I really haven't seen anyone...since everyone is on different schedules...I tend to go in early and leave before earlier....anyways..today I get to school and the secretary is in her office talking to the one of the moms who just happens to be in charge of the Lunch program. I had my sunglasses on as I entered the building and poked my head in to the office to say hello.

The secretary says Hi and the mom looks and me at says hi politely but I can tell she has no clue who I am (AND I HAVE TAUGHT BOTH HER CHILDREN!!!! LOL****il I take off my sunglasses and her mouth drops open and she says "O my God I didn't recognize you Mrs.Wright. You have lost so much weight -too much weight....you are sooooo skinny!!! Wow!"

I just said "Thank you and no I have not lost too much weight I still have about 25 lbs to go..but thank you very much!!!" before heading upstairs to finish up my room.

But when I got upstairs I just thought about it and was like --too much weight????? I can only imagine what she went and said to the other parents...

as our school is in a very gossipy community but we shall see what happens....

But it was still a wow.. and I will take it!!!!

I still get that.....hell...after maintaining for about a year....people are now asking me "why I'm losing more weight" and "how tiny I feel I need to be" when the reality is I haven't lost a single ounce since last September, and nor do I want to lose any more.

Take your wow moment and enjoy it - you deserve it!!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Thanks!!! First I was thrown by the whole "You are sooooo skinny" comment she said to me because skinny is not a word I would use to describe myself...lol..but then it hit me that she said I lost "too much " weight..I was thinking to myself really???? Cause I used to weight 300lbs and I am not at goal yet....

But I will take my wow and enjoy it....as it was said in another post I do realize it takes time to begin to see myself as I am now and not as I used to be....but I think I will get there eventually!
