Thursday Accountability

Greetings Everyone,
I must share how I made out with my carbs today.  I had extremely strong urges to get M&Ms with peanuts today, and was really "Jonesing" for some chocolate.  I picked up the package at 7-11, and read the nutrition label, saw how many carbs there were, and put it back.  I then proceeded to Shop-Rite to get some groceries.  I was tempted to buy some Murray's Sugar Free cookies, but put them back after reading the carb content.  

I did purchase some Kellogg's All Bran.  I love the muffins made with that, and the fiber content is through the roof, so I can handle some low sugar muffins with that fiber.  (Not to mention my plumbing appreciates it too.)  So, I kept track of my food today, and I made my carb goal and my protein goal.  

So, I just want to tell you how much I appreciate you all being here for me.  Knowing I was checking in with my carb intake goal for today kept me from buying and inhaling the M&Ms and the cookies.

hey there good for you. What is your carb limit?

Dr. Marymor suggested 150-200 grams a day.  He also reminded me that fiber grams can be subtracted from carbs for a net carb factor.  Which helps me make healthier choices.
