Wednesday Accountability
I am so behind schedule tonight...but I made a commitment to report my daily progress on making my carb goals.
Today I was right on target, or over by 1 gram. I consumed 201 grams of carbs. Dr. Marymor recommended 150-200.
I also got my water in, and my protein goal. Additionally, I got some walking in, as I took psycho-puppy to the doggy park, yes the one with the Loch Ness snapping turtle in the lake, and he got so excited when I parked the car, he dragged me limping to the gate to play with the doggies.
I also weighed myself on the nurse's scale today, and I was 7 pounds lighter than Dr. Marymor's weigh-in. Today it was in the morning, and two weeks ago at his office, it was in the afternoon. Plus, it was different scales. So, I am not all excited about the difference, though I believe I did lose something.
I am committing to weighing in on that particular scale on a weekly basis, just to be accountable some more.
The township I live in offers exercise classes, including cardio fitness and pilates. They offer a sampler package where I can buy a ticket and pick and choose which classes I wish to try out, and get the ticket punched as I attend the classes. It's 1 punch for the cardio, 2 for the Tai Chi and Pilates, and 3 for the Yoga. The ticket is $30 for 10 punches. I thought it would give me a chance to see what each of those is like, and then I could sign up for the second session of the class I like in October.
Have a good night. See you all in the morning.
Huggles,
Trish

That's a great program they offer, Trish! I hope you find something you like. And "psycho puppy" sounds like a little kid on Christmas morning! How fun!
I got my fluids in yesterday. Protein? Ha! Carbs - a good amount, although I've never tracked gms of carbs before. I just know it's more than what I should have had especially considering I did not hit protein goals. That will be my plan as of this morning - to count everything including carb grams and what not.
Here's to a fantastic Thursday!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Thanks Pam,
I never tracked my carbs before now either. It is easy using the My Fitness Pal site, as the chart calculates all the carbs and protein for me. It keeps a running total throughout the day, and shows it by meal and by grand total. I can also check fiber by viewing the printable version of it. (I learned that I can subtract my fiber from my carb totals for a net carb total. It gives me some wiggle room and helps me make healthier choices when I do eat carbs. Plus, fiber is more filling.)
One day of low protein and pretzels is not a huge concern, as you had a huge stress issue you were dealing with. Thursday you just get back on track and make your protein priority ONE.
Hugs,
Trish
