sticking to the basics - wednesday
Good Morning Liz,
I am planless today. I am going out to see Dr. Brader this morning and I can't eat before I see him. It makes me nervous because I have know idea what he will be doing to my port. I am packing my cooler with water, an apple, cheese stick and a yogurt. Of course, after my appointment I will enjoy some retail therapy and hopefully I will be calm enough to eat something. Have a great day Liz!

Good morning Liz,
Went to a support group/cooking demo given by a chef. What a great experience. I thought of you, Liz, and the cooking groups you have at your house. I'm going to really try and get there next time....it sounds like so much fun.
Breakfast: Decafe coffee, waited 45 minutes, then had Fage. I just got the Fage last night, and I really like it. I'll bet it tastes great with onion soup mix for a dip - yummy! I can't wait until next week when I go on pureed foods - woo hoo!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Debbie,
The fage (and Oikos, which is the brand I prefer) is also great with pureed cucumber, onion, and a little garlic - basically it makes tzatziki (greek yogurt dip/dressing). I made that in my pureed and liquids stage as a cold cucumber soup and it was really tasty. Still a nice treat for dipping veggies, chicken, etc.
I've also pureed strawberries and banana with a little splenda and stirred that into it for homemade yogurt. It's tough finding yogurt sweetened with splenda and i'm allergic ot the other artificial sweeteners.
Enjoy!
