***Marvelous Monday Roll Call***

I know we've used "manic monday" a few times now....so I figured I go with marvelous.  Although...how marvelous are mondays anyway?

Well I'm here in joisey.  Working 11p-7a currently.  On the way to mom's need to stop and pick up some bottled water - forgot a few bottles and need something to mix my crystal lite with @ her house.

Then I'll go there.  I LOVE my parents...and they really are WONDERFUL people...but mom has been laid off...and when I go there....she has reverted to forgetting I am an adult.  Don't get me wrong..I KNOW she means well...and she's just trying to help...but she's constantly asking me what she can get me...what I want to eat...what I need her to do for me...etc etc etc.  For instance...when I wake up...I generally don't eat right away - but she will ask me at least 3 times in the first half an hour if she can make me something for breakfast.  No....I will get it when I'm good and ready for it.

anyway - sorry for the rant - so today will be seeing mom probably both in the morning and when I get up...maybe seeing my brothers...and some good ol lounging...I'll probably stay "holed up" in my room watching tv and what not enjoying the peace and quiet.  Back to work here in jersey tonight, again 11p...but only till 6am in the morning and then it'll be back to pa tuesday morning.

Have a great day!

Pam

Good Morning Pam,
I just got home from the emergency room, where I spent the night being poked and prodded and given a clean bill of health.  Thought about you most of the night, wondering if you were working.  I was at Aria, the hospital by Sesame Place.  I have had trouble breathing, and my asthma inhaler was not helping me.  I remembered my brother saying he thought he had bronchitis the day before he died of pumonary emboli.  I have the same clotting disorder as he and my sister, who has had clots in her lungs as well.  So, I wanted to get checked out, especially since my ankles have been terribly swollen at the same time.  They did every test, including the ABG, which hurt like hell.  He must have poked both wrists 4 times each before he got the blood.

So, I did not sleep at all, and am heading to bed from here.  I then must get finished my cleaning project, and then I will go to group tonight and try to get a good night's sleep.

Hugs,
Trish

Oooooh - owie Trish  Sorry you spent all night getting everything done - but glad to hear everything came back OK.  I personally have had ABGs done - and  yes - they hurt.  It's because they have to go deeper than veins - and find an artery - in order to get that blood test.  I'm surprised they poked your wrists THAT many times for an ABG.  Especially the same guy.  Ewwww  And yes, I'm working...but I'm down here in jersey.

Hope you get some rest and feel better!

Thanks Pam,
He could feel the pulse and then the artery would hide when he went after it.  He offered to have me stop him, but then he said the docs would come in, and they are not as experienced, which I believe.  After he said that, I tried harder to relax my wrist and he scored.  I told him my RNY did not hurt as much.  LOL

Sleep tight at Mom's.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Pam and Trish.

Pam - sounds likeMom is bored and wants to be wanted - oy!  good luck with that! :)
Trish - crappy night - sorry it was so yukky!  I hope you have a beter night tonight before the joy of the school year starts tomorrow!

What a night I had - saw a terrific movie and had dinner with good friends and then all of a sudden - wa**** with a major case of PMS!!!!  The *****y kind, in stead of the weepy kind.  My poor hubby - had no idea what to do with me - I went to bed early - thought that might save my family from my wrath!  UGH!!!!!  Seems as though the drugs did not work so well this month!  Hoping for a better morning.  So - I am going to call Target soon to see if they have a mini-fridge for my classroom, if so, I wll pick it up, head to school and quietly gt it in.  This afternoon, I told the office at the synagogue that I would help out with their beginning of school year packets - so looks like that is on the agenda.  Tonight, will be quiet - sitting at home with the kids, getting myself ready to go back to work tomorrow morning.  I am looking forward to getting back into a routine, especially with my food - however, the summer was WAY better than I had anticipated and, with the exception of a few icky days, I did rather well! :)  Now I am looking forward to seeing many of my colleagues that I have not seen in over two months, and I have dropped over 20 more pounds since I saw them last! :)  Should be fun.

I hope you all have a wonderful, cool Monday - hopefullly with this weather being beautiful, my building will not be so hot over the next few days!

Steph,

Do you have a Costco membership? They had about 5 different models of mini-fridges at REALLY good prices last weekend when I was in there...

Good luck!  Sorry about the PMS attack, but glad it didn't happen on Saturday - haha!

Hugs.

Good Morning Everyone!!

Pam- My family is the same way! They'll ask me a billion times if I want something to eat... I guess they're kind of use to me never turning down food... now when I say "no" they give me that "is something wrong" look and walk away...hmm...

Trish- Glad you're home and everything checked out A-ok!

My Monday should be an amazing one. My sister came in from Michigan and I haven't seen her since last Christmas when I was 240lbs...At 160 I dont know if she'll even recognize me!!
