Good Morning Everyone!
After eating non-stop since Liz's cooking class on Saturday I worked my butt off this morning on my Elliptical. I will be walking on my lunch and breaks as the weather outside is nippy but beautiful. So what is everyone else doing to burn all those calories from Liz's cooking class?

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

Today's a "down" day for me (physically and mentally) while simultaneously being really busy.  All I did was my squats this morning and i'm doing my arm weights later.  But no cardio for me today - just do not feel up to it.

Hi Shilpa - I started out last week good but finished with a flop when it came to exercise, so I'm committing here and now to a better work-out week.

Tonight when I get home I will ride my exercise bike for 45 minutes and incorporate hand weights in with some of my music to get the heart rate up and work on these arms. Not much I can do about the batwings but at least I can tone some parts of them up! After that I'll walk the dog and then relax.

Hey guys -

I'll be walking. I have some errands to run so I'll be trotting around downtown on my lunch break.

Anybody ever done the Lithe workout? I'm going to be signing up for some classes in an attempt to become more "lithe" and see if I can tone up some of this excess skin I've got going on. :)

Good afternoon all,

Been a while since I posted on the exercise thread but I figured today was as good a day as any to get back on, especially since I've enjoyed my biggest wow moment since running the Broad Street 10 mile race last year.

Since getting back on track with my exercise over a month ago I've been going at it extremely hard, pushing myself to the very limit.  I had started training last year to run the Baltimore half marathon, but never wound up following through.  Well, since my motto is "quitting IS NOT an option, I've decided this year is the year to do it.  So today I decided to give it a shot - 13.1 miles.  It wasn't easy, but 2 hours, 16 minutes and 28 seconds later and it was all over with.  What a feeling!!!  I knew I'd make it when I started, I just wasn't sure if my legs would hold up without needing a break.  It turned out just fine and I didn't even think about stopping.  Averaging 10:30/mile over 13 miles is something I'm very thrilled with.  Not sure if I can get that down to 10:00 or not, but I'm gonna try.

"No matter how hard life may get, no matter how many curveballs you are thrown, keep in mind, if you want to succeed - QUITTING IS NOT AN OPTION"!!!
