I never thought I would wear a size 12 until I had surgery.

I never thought I would go ziplining until I had surgery.
 
I never thought I would enjoy going to the gym until I had surgery.

I never thought I'd be comfortable walking down the boardwalk in just a bathing suit until I had surgery.


I'm sure there are others, but these are the ones that stick out in my mind for now.

I never thought I would EVER GET HAND ME DOWNS FROM MY SISTER until I had surgery!!!

I never thought I would go on a cruise much less swim with dolphins on the cruise until I had surgery.

I never thought I would wear an xl and shop in regular stores.

I never thought I would zipline was not even on the radar

I never thought I would be able to keep up with my son in New York, till I had surgery.

I never thought I would be able to cross my legs, until I had surgery.

I never thought I would be able to pick up something off the floor, till I had surgery.

I never thought I would be able to sit in an airplane seat, and not need the seatbelt extender, till I had surgery.

I never thought I would feel beautiful dancing at my son's wedding two years ago, till I had surgery.

I never thought I would be able to keep up with a two year old, till I had surgery.

So many!

I never thought I would EAT AND LIKE EDAMAME until I had surgery
I never thought I would OWN AND WEAR A LITTLE BLACK DRESS until I had surgery
I never thought I would KNOW WHAT ZIP LINING WAS, LET ALONE DO IT until I had surgery
I never thought I would CROSS MY LEGS AND BE COMFORTABLE until I had surgery
I never thought I would BE ABLE TO SHOP AT CUTE LITTLE BOUTIQUE'S until I had surgery

There's many more, I'm sure...but that's it for now!

I never thought I would be so full of self-esteem til I had the surgery
I never thought I would enjoy taking long walks again til I had the surgery
I never thought I would not miss food til I had the surgery
I never thought I would wear some nicer clothes til I had the surgery
I never thought I would wash my own SUV til I had the surgery
I never thought I would look into the mirror and like what I see (now that sounds stuck up but I swear its not) I used to beat myself up before.
I never thought I would tell people their place before I had the surgery (I get into alot of trouble for that but hey it is what it is.)

 I never thought I was "backward or shy" until I had my surgery started feeling more confident and comfortable around strangers and now I walk my neighborhood and introduce myself to people.

I never thought I would...be able to shop in regular clothing stores again and wear 'real' jeans and pants WITHOUT elastic waists...not need seatbelt extenders not only on planes but also in my car...ride amusement park rides again...absolutely glow from compliments about my weight loss and new look...clean my house and not get winded or all sweaty from doing just 15 minutes of work - now I can clean for hours on end...feel sexy for my husband again...and most of all...

I never thought I would be able to get in front of a group of strangers (or anyone who asks) and talk openly and freely about my weight loss surgery and journey - the good parts and the bad - and feel like Cy Syms when he says 'An educated consumer is our best customer'!!
