Can anyine tell me about...

Dr. Fernando Bonanni, MD.  I am looking into having surgery done by him amd I was hoping someone could share some opinions with me.  Can you help?

I had a VSG done with Dr B, 15 months ago. I would have to say he is one of the most caring men, let alone a surgeon, I have ever met. He truly has the patients best interest at heart.  (My mom was even impressed with him and that was one of the first things she said to me when I was in the recovery room.) 

What else would you like to know? 

Tiffany,nice to meet you,I just happened to drop in here and see your post..he is absolutely wonderful.
I had the DS with him and he and his office personnell are great.
He is very knowledgable and explains ALL surgery choices and he helps you pick the one that is right for you and your lifestyle.
You can also go to the top of page and right below the SEARCH click on bariatric surgeons,then PA the the surgery you are leaning towards.you can read all the comment about him. Actually I will do it for ya. how is that???
What surgery are you thinking of getting?If I can be of any help or answer any questions please let me know.Also there is a duodenal switch board forum here,check it out,there are quite a few of his DS patients there.

 I am another very Happy Dr. B patient, he is the best!!  He is very caring and will take the time to help you decide which surgery is best for you, and he offers all choices, RNY, VSG, DS, and Lapband.  Of course I hight recommend DS, but what ever will fit best for you it's your descision!!  I was very happy at Abington hospital, it was no picnic after surgery, but the care was great.  So I have no complaints.

I am hoping to have a DS. It has been a loooong road for me. Long story short....I can't have RNY or Lapband due to health reasons. VSG was recommended but BCBS won't  pay for it. They recommended the DS so here I am. I called Dr. B's office today and I am forwarding all of my info and I have an appointment scheduled for October 20. I spoke to Paula she was great and she set everything up. I am coming from out of state but I grew up in Bensalem and I attended college in Jenkintown so I am familiar with the area and I have family there. I am very excited!  I feel like things may finally work out for me.

 Awesome Tiffany...good for you!!  Paula and all the staff there are great.  It's good you have family here.  I grew up in NE philly only just moved out to norristown.  There are a great group of DS'ers from Dr.B's office.  Come visit us on the DS board and good luck with everything!
