OT - Food Processor

Alright all - I've had my mom's 30 year old food processor since we bought our house 18 months ago - LOVE the thing! Well yesterday there was a death in my kitchen The shaft of the blade cracked. Millions (literally!!) of cookies and treats have been made with the 'ol girl - she had a good life.

So anyway, I need to replace it. Anyone have a food processor (at least a 7 cup capacity) that they love/hate?? I want to replace it this week and will spend hours in the aisle but wanted to see if anyone had a suggestion!

Thanks all

Sorry to hear of the death of the food processor!

I have a large kitchen aid food processor and definately love it!  Not sure of the capacity - but it does hold A LOT.  It also comes with a smaller bowl insert if you are making a smaller batch.  And it comes with various blades/attatchments in order to grate cheese and carrots and things like that.  I definately love it!  The only problem is that it is pretty big and heavy, so it is hard to take out of it's space in the cabinet - but not so hard that I don't do it.

Thanks!! The kitchen aid one has had my eye in my internet research - AND I think that Sears has it on sale this week!

Thanks!

Liz,

Also check at Costco if you're heading down that way - i'm pretty sure I saw a nice kitchen aid food processor on the shelf last week... price was good but i wasn't in the market for it...

Love my Kitchen Aid. I have a Cusinart too but I'd prefer the Kitchen Aid

Do you need a food processor for any of the recipies on Saturday?  If you don't get yours in time, just let me know - mine is willing to pinch hit for such a wonderful cause!  Call me Saturday last minute if needed
