Hey Kathy,
Welcome to the Losers Bench.  I think I can safely say that we all got little sleep in the hospital.  At Barix, they woke me several times during the night for breathing and walking.  As for gas, that is also par for the course and walking and sipping are the two best ways to deal with it.  You are doing great.

Keep walking, keep sipping and keep breathing.  You will be amazed at how much those things help.

hugs,
Trish

Yay!!!  Another loser on the bench!!!  Welcome home and keep up that walking!  The gas can take QUITE some time to finally move all of it out!  And Lisa is right on - getting in all your protein will be very difficult for a time...so keep trying but don't freak out if you don't get it all in.  Definately go for fluids, though!
