Finally something positive!!
Finally, I have found a Barix Center that accepts my insurance, is contracted with them and the surgwons are also providers. I go to the information orientation on Sept 2nd and will make an appointment with the surgeon that night! For the past 5 months I have been fighting with Aetna about the contract with the Barix Center in Langhorne, but now I don't have to fight any more! This is a journey I am so ready to begin...wish me luck!
Good Luck! I had Aetna and went to Barix in Langhorne spent $2500 out of my own pocket BUT I was smart and did Flexible Spending account for maximum allowed under my company which was $5000. Still the best money I spend on myself. You are worth it. Good luck in your journey and I am moving over to make room on the loser's bench.
I too have Aetna insurance and had my surgery at Barix - they weren't in my network - same as Shilpa, but it was definitely worth the extra $$ I had to put out of pocket to go there and get the best possible care and surgery that I could find - along with a fantastic group of doctors, nurses and a great percentage of the people on these boards.
Wish you all the best with your upcoming surgery!!
Wish you all the best with your upcoming surgery!!
My sister went to the Barix Clinic in Langhorne and has lost 105 pounds to date...I have been there for meetings but just do not have the two grand to put out because Aetna won't complete the contract with them. Am hearing excellent comments and info about the Allentown center at St. Luke's and the docs there. Have a meeting on Sept 2 as I said and will make the appointment with Dr. Holland then. Can't wait for this journey to begin...I so need it and want it.
