Hi Kathy!   I was thinkig of you this morning, thought you might be getting the nerves.  Relax and take a deep breath, everything will be wonderful. You have done everything  you can to prepare for this . From my experience with Geisinger they probably won't call till late afternoon. Will be praying for you and  I will see you on the bench soon!  PM me if you need anything you know I am close by!

Good morning all........

Today has me at work till 3:30. But I will have my appt with my doc at 1:00 so thats one less patient I have to deal with. LOL. I am excited and anxious to go over everything and find out what my next steps are for this issue.

After work, I will shower and get Jantzen ready for his 4 month check up. 4 months already! After his appt, Johnny & Jantzen are heading off to visit with some family and I will grab a bite to eat and head to bowling league with my sister.

Then home to bed! I have done nothing but yawn lately. I am sooo tired. So I am not looking forward to getting to bed late, but I will manage.

Hope everyone has a great day!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Four months??  OMG I didn't even realize it had been "that long"

Good luck to BOTH of you on your appointments!

Good Morning Liz,
I overslept this morning.  Woke up to find Utley had chewed a pair of my good craft scissors, leaving me with a blade and one handle.... he also started on his brush, but only made chew marks on the wooden handle.  He has a huge bag of chew toys, but goes for the non-edible stuff first.  Then, when I go to scold him, he gives me those eyes...I am a sucker for those eyes...I am actually stricter with my granddaughter than my dog..go figure.

Anywho, today has me finishing my bedroom, organizing it and overhauling it.  If I get it done by 2:00, I will then start my spare room.  Somewhere in there, I will head over to the pool to hang out with my noodle.  I miss the swimming part, but can't kick with the stupid toe.

Not sure about attending the post-op meeting.  It depends on if my temperature is normal.  I would not want to expose anyone to anything, should I be contagious.  Family doc thinks it is some sort of virus.  I did have some wheezing in my lungs when he checked me out yesterday.

I hope everyone has a super day.

Hugs,
Trish

Must've been the day/evening for cutting fingers with knives while cooking - I literally took care of 3 others who did the same thing...although one woman cut her pinky and I'm thinking to myself "how in the world did your PINKY get in the way??"  Obviously needs some chopping instructions.  Anywho - hope you feel better soon!

I had every intention of starting roll call...the nerve of people actually needing my care, LOL

Anyway - last night was busy to start and then we settled down...then got a little busy round 4am.  Of course by then I was ready for one of my meals...and for the first time in two years (WHILE AT WORK) I ate entirely to fast....and ended up with the foamies and being nauscious.  I guess I must have looked the part w/ the nausea cause about 3 nurses came up to me at different times asking me if I was ok because I looked "white" or "green" (depending on who you asked....)  The worst part about it is normally when that happens I end up sleeping for 2 hours so I spent those two hours wondering how in the hell I was gonna stay awake at all and wishing to all get out I could just lay down.  The floor looked comfy.  Note to self...although I would like to say I will never eat to fast again, I know I will...but I MUST make sure it doesn't happen at work.  Not a fun time without my pillow and bed available.

Anyways - I feel much better now, all be it exhausted.  After this post I'm going to my bed and sleeping till about 10:45. Then I will get up and need to take hubby to the dentist.  I also have to figure out if while he is there I need to pick a friend up from an airport.  If I do...there will be some scheduling issues but not for nothing...that's what she gets for waiting until the very last second to let me know.

After the dentist...not sure what's in store.  It's my night off so.....dinner and whatever!

Have a great day!

I am hoping that "dinner and whatever" means that you are still conidering coming to Barix tonight?!?!  Depending on how your hubby is feeling!  I would love to see you - and I ma bringing my hubby!  OY! :)

To be honest up until I had READ the responses to roll call, I had completely forgotten about barix tonight...bad post op patient that I am!

Hubby's appointment got changed to 11:30 - in fact should be leaving as I type this - so my sleep is even less than what it should be.  However...I will certainly keep it in mind this time and will see how I (and hubby) am feeling and will definately make the attempt to come on over!  Thanks for reminding me!  Your hubby might find it very interesting.  I know mine did...he's not a huge fan of going "consistently" because he feels (although I disagree) that the topics are "all the same all the time"  They really aren't - but to those who haven't been there, I can see how that might be viewed.  As usual...I digress.

Anyway - perhaps that will be my outing tonight!

Good Morning Liz & PA:
Liz hope your thumb starts feeling better soon. I've done that many times, Gene wanted to ban me from the kitchen at one point but then decided if he wanted to eat and he wanted a happy contented wife, he changed his mind pretty quickly Me not cooking might as well cut off all my limbs LOL

Today has me getting ready to leave for my PCP appointment this morning. He wanted to see me a month prior to surgery.

Yesterday's appointment with the Pulmonologist went well, I do not need a sleep study, he can find nothing that indicates I have sleep apnea from the pulmonary function test nor my answers to the questions on the paperwork they sent me. So I have my clearance from him and the cardiologist now. Now all I have is my Psy eval on the 26th.

After the doc appt, heading into work, then leaving at 4, stopping at Curves to work out, then home.

Today is a big day for Gene he's heading to center city this afternoon to sign his retirement papers for the city. As of today he will officially be a retired DHS social work supervisor

Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Ida
