Lap Band & Driving

Hi All,

Does anyone know how long I can't drive after a lap band surgery?  I took off 5 days of work but want to make sure it will be okay to drive after that.

You'll be fine - I was driving 4 days after Lap RNY. The general rule is 24 hours after stopping the pain meds and when you feel ready.

I had surgery on Monday came home on Tuesday and drove on Wednesday.  I probably shouldn't have and it was a bit uncomfortable but I had to go to my neice's recorder concert - lol.  I didn't take any pain medication after leaving the hospital.  What did Dr. Boe say?
