Sticking to the Basics - Tuesday

Morning All!

This prednisone is kicking my butt - this is the plan but I don't think I'll get it all in

B: english muffin with light cream cheese
S: fage and peaches
L: turkey salad (turkey, cucumbers, onions, feta, a little orzo, tomatoes and italian dressing)
S: cheddar cheese and a few crackers
D: something with turkey - probably more of my salad
S: chocolate pudding with PB and whipped cream

Prednisone is a monster. It either makes you completely nauseous, or it increases your appetite and you eat like a horse. Hope you are soon done the dose of it!

My meds have calmed down and my appetite is a little better so here it goes........

B: 2 grilled chicken tenders
S: Cheddar cheese
L: Burger w/ fried onions and muenster Cheese
S: none
D: Whatever meat Johnny gets at store for the grill & Brussell Sprouts
S: none

Think I have it together better today because i actually will take the food i packed

B- scrambled egg with cheese and onion
coffee

S- greek yogurt

L- Salad with tuna

S- greek yogurt


D- some kind of chicken and veggie thing maybe salsa chicken

Chai latte

Oatmeal

One week to go and I'm hoping to hit 265 by surgery... so

S:  2 Meatballs and 1 slice provolone
L:  Tuna salad in lettuce wraps
S:  grapes
D:  Chicken Thigh and veggies
S:  Protein shake

You go girl! You can do this!  I lok back and and it is one year since I started all my prep and almost eight months post op RNY.  I feel really good.

One more week for you - good luck and you are off to great start posting here.

I will be doing liquids for at least the next 24 hours because I had a major stuck during dinner last night - it lasted for a few hours and was awful.

M1:  CIB with milk
M2:  EAS shake
M3:  organic chicken broth
M4:  greek yogurt
M5:  CIB with milk
M6:  EAS shake

going to the gym - attempting the elliptical machine

ewwww...been there done that...got the garbage pail w/ foamies to prove it...feel better!
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

LOL - mine is more like a slime... built up saliva I guess.  It is plain nasty.  I actually feel sore on the inside and taking that antibiotic isn't helping either.  Gggrrrrrr.... but it is what is is and I will eventually feel better.  Have a good one Pam!  Hope you are feeling better too.
